If you are thinking about starting a career as a Gas Engineer, you may be at the stage of asking yourself a number of questions such as:
What is involved?
What qualifications do I need?
How long will it take?
What support will I get?
Like many new entrants to the industry you will want to be reassured that you are making the right decisions and that the course you are taking will deliver the right knowledge, experience and qualification to set you up for a successful career in your chosen trade.
At Gas Certification Company Limited we take great care to ensure that anyone who enrols to our courses are fully briefed on what’s involved and to give them a clear route to show each stepping stone of the course and the type of work, both practical and theory, that you will be undertaking.
With over 100 years of successful training experience in our business, Gas Certification Company is well placed to support new entrants at all stages of their journey.
The first step is to register and find out more about our Managed Learning Programme and to begin your journey of discovery.
Once you are satisfied that the programme is for you and you have fully explored what’s involved and how it works the second step is to sign up and join us at our In House training centre in Blantyre, Lanarkshire, Scotland, where you will be made welcome and introduced to your Tutors and your fellow Candidates.
The third step is to build your portfolio of evidence through our in-house training sessions as well as ‘on the job’ assignments. Gas Cert guarantee you a work placement which will give you access to invaluable industry related work experience. You will have the support of a Gas Cert mentor and access to our expertise throughout this time to guide you through the necessary milestones and achievements.
The fourth step is to submit your completed portfolio of evidence for the MLP and gain your Gas Foundation Certificate.
The final part of the journey is to take your ACS qualifications to become a Gas Safe Registered Engineer.
