Energy Efficiency - Assessment

Energy efficiency has received a great deal of publicity in recent years.  It has become an issue of importance and there is a need to understand how it will affect the role of the heating installer.

The assessment on offer is certified by Logic Certification, in partnership with the IDHEE and has been designed for installers to self certificate their heating installation through a competent person scheme.  The scheme is recognised as an alternative to the City & Guilds 6084 Energy Efficiency for Domestic Installers, it has the support and approval of the EST, Gas Safe Register, Skills for Business Network and Energy Efficiency Partnership for Homes.

The syllabus includes why energy consumption affects the environment along with covering the relative legislation.

Learning for the theory based assessment is generally undertaken as Self-study (distant learning pack) with training an optional extra.
